A Special Message from the Missions Ministry
God’s Hand Reaching People Through Prayer
Before harvesting, the farmer must take certain precautions to ensure a healthy crop. He must:
-
prepare the soil,
-
plant good seeds,
-
irrigate the land,
-
deter insects from destroying the crop,
-
harvest at the right time.
So, it is with bringing souls into the Kingdom of God.
The greatest command is, love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and all your mind and love your neighbor as yourself (Matt 22:37-39). Let that sink into your heart, if you truly love someone as yourself, how do you treat that person? What are your hopes and desires for that person? Is it your desire for them to have a transformed life and experience God’s goodness and His gift of eternal life?
The Missions Ministry is reminding you to pray for those within your family, your neighbors, coworkers, and friends who need to come into a covenant relationship with Jesus Christ. Ask God to prepare their heart to be receptive to His word. When the time is right, the seed you plant by sharing the word of God will land on fertile soil because The Lord of the Harvest has already prepared the soil to bear fruit. The heart of stone will be made a heart of flesh.
Apostle Paul in I Corinthians 3 wrote that some will water, some plant but God gets the increase. In your prayer time ask God to send the right people to speak God’s truth to those for whom you are praying. The wrong people can come along and cast doubt and plant seeds of confusion. They are like insects who converge on a crop and can destroy it. Be vigilant, stay in communication, each time taking the opportunity to encourage and speak God’s word to them.
Waiting patiently for the harvest is reliance upon the work of the Holy Spirit. Do not be discouraged as you continue to pray and wait for hearts to be changed at God’s appointed time. Lastly, harvesting involves labor. Will you be a laborer for God’s harvest? Pray that God gives us spiritual eyes to see the harvest. Pray that God gives us a heart of love for those who need a Savior who is Jesus Christ.

September Stewardship Message
Trusting God Through Faithful Giving
Malachi 3:10 calls God's people to faithfully bring their tithes as an expression of obedience, trust, and worship. Stewardship acknowledges that all we possess belongs to the Lord, and faithful giving supports His work while demonstrating confidence in His provision. God invites His people to trust His faithfulness, promising abundant blessing as they honor Him with generous and obedient hearts.
