Core values are revealed in the daily behavior of people. What we truly value is mirrored in our behavior in the workplace, in the neighborhood, on the playground and at church. As one commentator observed: what we do speaks so loudly that it drowns out what we say to the contrary. The foregoing list reflects what our church and what, we believe according to Scripture, we should value as people of God.
Love God as revealed in Jesus Christ. A sincere love for God transforms our lives into a way of life in which Christ is clearly at the center.
Love each other as revealed by Jesus Christ. Just as Christ loved people of all ages, races and nationalities, so we are to love each other and our neighbors outside the church with the same active compassion.
Commit to deep spiritual growth that we may know Christ, the power of His resurrection, and lead a purpose-driven life. In order to grow in our relationship with Christ, we must give ourselves to worship, prayer without ceasing, deep Bible study, and discipleship training. This will result in the fruits of the Holy Spirit increasingly reflected in our behavior: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control.
